Simon Salmon, President of the ISC2 East Midlands Chapter, has been honoured with the prestigious ISC2 CEO Award, presented as part of the ISC2 Global Achievement Awards.
Addressing an audience of cybersecurity professionals, Simon said:
Wining this award means so very much to me given it celebrates individuals who have made a meaningful impact on the cybersecurity community, trailblazers and change-makers whose efforts leave lasting effects across the industry. To be acknowledged in this way is both deeply rewarding and motivating.”
Cybersecurity is never about one person; it’s about collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a shared commitment to protecting and enabling our digital world, an approach exemplified by ISC2. I’m grateful to the colleagues, mentors, and peers who have inspired and supported me throughout this journey.
A huge thank you to ISC2 for this incredible honour. The passion and dedication of the team, often unseen by the wider community, make a significant difference to our profession. Any achievements that I have made are directly thanks to their continued hard work and effort in developing our community of professionals and helping to build a safer and more resilient digital future – together.
