The ISC2 East Midlands Chapter held its second members’ meeting at Waterside Bar on Thursday 9th July.

Chapter President Simon Salmon delivered an engaging presentation exploring How AI is changing the security equation. The session covered the history and evolution of artificial intelligence before examining how today’s threat actors are using AI to develop increasingly sophisticated attacks. Simon also discussed the opportunities AI presents for defenders, highlighting both the benefits and the challenges that security professionals face as the technology continues to evolve.

The presentation generated plenty of discussion and was very well received by attendees, with members sharing their own experiences and perspectives on the rapidly changing threat landscape.
